Tonight, Alex Nedeljkovic will get the start for the Sharks. Yaroslav Askarov will miss tonight’s game with a lower-body injury. The Sharks have signed UNH goalie Kyle Chauvette to an ATO, and he’ll be the backup for tonight’s game. Chauvette is a native of New England, from Goffstown, New Hampshire. He just finished his collegiate career at the University of New Hampshire, where in 34 games this season, he went 13-19-1 with a 2.63 goals-against average, a .902 save percentage, and five shutouts.

Chauvette spent two seasons in the USHL with the Youngstown Phantoms. In his first season with the Phantoms, he appeared in 18 games, going 4-7-4 with a 4.23 goals-against average and a .856 save percentage. In his second season, he appeared in 37 games, going 15-13-7. He posted a 3.33 goals-against average and a .892 save percentage. He started his collegiate career at Union College, where he spent three seasons. In year one, he made ten appearances, going 2-2-1. He posted a 2.87 goals-against average, a .905 save percentage, and a shutout. In his second season, he made 36 appearances, going 15-16-3 with a 3.05 goals-against average, an .893 save percentage, and three shutouts. Chauvette, in his final season at Union before transferring to UNH, made 35 appearances, going 18-13-3 with a 2.80 goals-against average, a .896 save percentage, and a shutout.
