It was a well-attended morning skate for the Toronto Maple Leafs, ahead of their game against the Florida Panthers on Wednesday. The marquee matchup could have a major effect on the Atlantic Division race, with the Maple Leafs holding a two-point lead over the Panthers, and a one-point lead over the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Toronto will clinch a playoff berth if it secures one point from Wednesday’s contest.
Anthony Stolarz is the Leafs projected starter. Domi, Laughton, Kampf, Benoit, Holmberg, Robertson, Carlo, Tanev, Pacioretty, Knies, Lorentz, McMann, Myers, McCabe, Woll among attendees at the optional skate this morning.

Here’s what you need to know from the Maple Leafs’ optional skate:
Anthony Stolarz will get the start against his former club Wednesday. Stolarz is 0-2 against the Panthers, but head coach Craig Berube quickly dismissed the notion that there’s any correlation between his goaltender and his team’s performance against the defending champions this season.
“I never have,” Berube said when asked about the idea of rotating Stolarz and Joseph Woll during the post-season. “I’ve had to put goalies in, in situations, but that’s something I’ve never done. It’s always a question we’ll discuss, and we’ll go over at some point here. Maybe we already have. We’ll see.”
Stolarz has won his past three starts, posting a 16-8-3 record this season with a .919 save percentage. He’s formed a great partnership with Woll and with a strong performance Wednesday, he has a chance to pull ahead in the race for the postseason starting role. Berube will surely be watching this development closely, during the final eight games of the season.
Woll has posted a 25-13-1 record in 39 appearances, with a .906 save percentage this season, operating in a true No. 1 role when Stolarz missed nearly two months due to injury from December 12-February 6.
