The Seattle Kraken have missed out on some top coaches this off-season, but now, they have finally found their man after stealing him from the Toronto Maple Leafs.

This off-season thus far has been a disappointment for the Seattle Kraken, as they were reportedly in on both Mitch Love and Rick Tocchet, with both finding jobs elsewhere, leaving the list of candidate fairly low for the Kraken.

This all comes on the back of firing Dan Bylsma after just one season with the organization, and now, they've finally found their man, making it official on Thursday night.

On social media, the team announced that Lane Lambert would be their new Head Coach, as the Toronto Maple Leafs assistant is set to head west to join a very intriguing young Kraken organization.

The 60-year old has been the Head Coach in just 127 games in the NHL with the New York Islanders, posting a record of 61-46-20 between 2022 and 2024, but now, he'll likely get an extended opportunity to make his mark on the Kraken.

Lambert was faced with a less than stellar Islanders roster in his two years as coach, and now he joins a Kraken team with a lack of elite young stars, and with the team being built with solid veterans and no stars at all, he's got a very big job to do.

Whether or not Lambert was the right call for Seattle, only time will tell, but the mixed reactions to this announcement show that he's got plenty of work to do to win those fans over, but for now, they stole a coach from the Maple Leafs and have seemingly found someone they believe can lead them into a very successful future.
