Seattle Kraken sign Jordan Eberle to two-year extension worth $4.75 million per year

The Seattle Kraken have extended forward Jordan Eberle to a two-year contract extension worth $4.75 million per season, according to CapFriendly.

Eberle was rumoured to be in trade discussions as the NHL Trade Deadline was approaching, but he and the team were able to agree to terms just after after 11 a.m. EST, a little under four hours before the trade window closes.

Through three seasons with the Kraken, Eberle has scored 55 goals and 89 assists for 144 points in 219 games. Now in his 14th NHL season, Eberle has 296 goals and 399 assists for 695 points in 998 career games.

The 33-year-old is expected to play his 1,000th career game on March 12 against the Vegas Golden Knights.

Eberle was drafted No. 22 overall in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft by the Edmonton Oilers and played seven seasons with them, scoring 165 goals and 217 assists for 382 points in 507 games. He reached career highs in his second season, scoring 34 goals and 42 assists for 76 points in 2011-12.
