Shocking Winnipeg Jets Third Period Comeback Ends in Triumph

The Winnipeg Jets season was all but over, but in the dying seconds they pushed for overtime, only to to pick up the huge Game 7 win on home ice.

With two minutes remaining in Game 7, the Winnipeg Jets faced a 3-1 deficit, but on the back of clutch play from the team, they scored twice to tie it, including a clutch goal from Cole Perfetti to send this game to overtime in front of one of the most electric atmosphere's in all of hockey.

That sent the Winnipeg Whiteout in attendance into absolute frenzy, but the job wasn't done there, as the game went to a dramatic overtime, with one 20 minute extra period coming and going with plenty of action but no goals scored.

Late in the second period of OT however, the Jets season would be extended at least one more series, as a historic goal from captain Adam Lowry would end one of the most memorable and exhilarating Game 7's that the NHL has truly ever seen, bringing the city of Winnipeg to its feet again.

Time and time again, the Stanley Cup's continue to deliver, and after a thriller on Saturday night between Dallas and Colorado, this one went and topped it, proving once again why nothing beats post-season hockey in the sporting world.

Now, the Jets will move on to the next round to battle the red-hot Dallas Stars in the second round, and with either Vegas or Edmonton waiting beyond that, the post-season continues to get harder and harder in the Western Conference.

Whatever happens beyond this game, this will remain one of the most memorable games in NHL history, and with the Jets picking up the clutch win, this is a game that will be talked about for years to come around Stanley Cup Playoffs time.
