St. Louis Blues 2026-27 milestones to watch

As the 2026-27 season approaches, the St. Louis Blues players will not only have team goals ahead of them to achieve, but individual accolades as well. This season, there are several players that are within striking distance of several milestones.

Pavel Buchnevich

Entering his 11th season in the NHL, veteran forward Pavel Buchnevich needs just 12 assists to hit the 200 mark in a Blues uniform. Should he reach this mark, Buchnevich would surpass former Blues players like Wayne Babych and Kevin Shattenkirk, while tying T.J. Oshie at 200 to become the 27th-most in franchise history.

Ross Johnston

The bruising winger Ross Johnston sits only 21 penalty minutes away from hitting 600 in his career. Johnston has played 307 games over his 10-year career and could find himself not only hitting the mark early next season, but greatly surpassing it should he repeat his 2025-26 campaign and rack up another 107 penalty minutes in 62 games.

Connor McMichael

One of the newest members of the club is quietly approaching 100 assists in his professional career. The 25-year-old already has 315 regular season games under his belt and is set to play a major top-six role in the Blues' offense this season, with the opportunity to grab more than the 13 assists he needs to hit the milestone.

Pius Suter

The veteran forward could hit a trio of accolades early this season. Suter is only five goals away from 100 career goals, four assists from 100, and nine points from 200 across his career. Suter, 30, has six NHL seasons under his belt and should make quick work this season to hit all three of these milestones.

Brandon Carlo

The towering 6-foot-5 defenseman, Brandon Carlo, could hit two accolades this season as well. Carlo is only two games shy of the 700 mark this season and only 10 assists away from reaching 100 career assists on the blue line. Carlo has spent nearly his entire NHL career with the Boston Bruins, logging 80 assists in 617 games. While the feat could be difficult at that pace, he did manage 10 assists in 75 games with the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2025-26 season.

Climbing the franchise rankings

Outside of the individual stats, defenseman Colton Parayko sits at 800 career regular season games played, continuing to chase Bernie Federko's franchise record of 927, while holding strong as the club's second-most games played as a defenseman and needing only four games to surpass Barret Jackman for the most among all Blues defensemen and second all-time in Blues history.

Blues team captain Robert Thomas, 27, has climbed his way to a tie for 10th all-time with 460 points, and should find himself surpassing former captain David Backes (460), Brayden Schenn (465), David Perron (465) this season. Thomas could also find himself surpassing former Blue, Pavol Demitra (493), and Blues General Manager Alex Steen (496) this season to put himself at 6th all-time in franchise history.

Jordan Binnington could also find himself climbing the record books as he sits one shutout behind Jaroslav Halak with 20 shutouts in franchise history.
