Connor Hellebuyck has struggled mightily against St. Louis in this series, and now the Blues fans have roasted him as those struggles get worse and worse.
The 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs have been a tale of two different Connor Hellebuyck's, as he has been solid at home, but in three games played in St. Louis, he's been pulled in all three.
During that time, Hellebuyck has allowed 16 goals, and with the series now headed back to Winnipeg for a winner-take-all Game 7, this could be the game that ultimately defines his legacy as a goaltender.
Unsurprisingly though, Blues fans weren't going to let him off easy on Friday night, as the crowd serenaded him with chants of 'we want Connor', and whether the crowds have an effect on him or he just struggles away from home, something has gotten in his head.
The fans in the arena in St. Louis were absolutely relentless all night, and after Connor heard this all during Game's 3 and 4, it's safe to say that he's glad Game 7 will be back in Winnipeg.
This is just another example of how much Hellebuyck has taken a step down when the post-season lights are on brightest, and while he may be on track to win yet another Vezina Trophy, another first-round exit certainly wouldn't look good on his career resume.
Ultimately, Hellebuyck has been one of the NHL's best goaltenders in the regular season, but with the way he has played this series and in his Stanley Cup Playoffs career, it would take a brave person to bet on him leading this team to victory on Sunday night.
