On Saturday, Czechia responded with a dominant 7–2 blowout win over Denmark, where Jiricek recorded a goal and an assist, helping lead his team to the victory. Czechia’s next game will be on Monday, the 29th, when they face Finland, looking to build on their 1-1-0 record.

The 19-year-old defenseman has played 25 games with the Brantford Bulldogs in the OHL, recording 10 goals and 29 points. He has been a major contributor both defensively and offensively, posting a plus-minus of +17.
2025 sixth-round pick Love Harenstam has led Sweden to two wins at the World Juniors. On Friday, they faced Slovakia and squeaked out a 3–2 victory, with Harenstam stopping 23 of 25 shots to finish with a .920 save percentage.
On Sunday, Sweden took down Switzerland 4–2. Harenstam faced 23 shots once again, making 21 saves for a .913 save percentage and helping Sweden improve to a 2-0-0 record.
At just 18 years old, Harenstam has been a key part of Sweden’s success so far, providing steady goaltending and poise well beyond his age as the tournament gets underway.
2022 fifth-round pick Marc-André Gaudet scored his first AHL goal on Sunday against the Bridgeport Islanders. His goal came in the third period, pulling the game to 3–2.
The Thunderbirds entered the zone on the right-hand side as Gaudet moved the puck to the near wall before getting it back while driving deeper into the zone. An Islanders defender misplayed the angle, allowing Gaudet to fire a wrist shot far side into the top corner. It was a very memorable first AHL goal and proved to be a key moment, as Springfield went on to earn a 4–3 overtime victory.

Gaudet was called up from the ECHL affiliate Florida Everblades after multiple injuries within the St. Louis Blues organization led to several call-ups and a domino effect. He played 12 games in Florida, recording four goals and 10 points. While it took him 17 games to score his first AHL goal, he has also added eight assists at the AHL level.
2024 seventh-round pick Matvei Korotky has been sidelined with a lower-body injury since Oct. 31. Before getting hurt, Korotky wasn’t just playing in Russia’s top league, the KHL, he was dominating.
He turned 20 years old on Dec. 23 and, prior to the injury, appeared in 20 games for SKA St. Petersburg, recording nine goals and 15 points. He isn’t producing in a junior league against players his own age; he is competing against seasoned professionals, including former NHL players and other highly regarded prospects.
It remains unclear when Korotky will return to the lineup. In late November, reports indicated he was close to returning and considered day-to-day, but more than a month later, he has yet to make his return. Hopefully, he returns soon, as even though he was a seventh-round pick, he is easily one of the most intriguing prospects in the Blues’ system right now.
