The Dallas Stars have confirmed their newest Hall of Fame class, announcing a weekend-long celebration in mid-November that will feature a game against the Philadelphia Flyers, a gala, and the induction of two figures who shaped the franchise in very different ways.
The Hall of Fame weekend is scheduled for November 14 to 16, capped by a puck drop ceremony during the November 15 home game and the fourth annual induction gala at Gilley's Dallas South Side Ballroom.
Fans can find the full schedule and ticket details at NHL.com.
The 2025 inductees are Joe Nieuwendyk, one of the most decorated players in Stars history, and longtime broadcaster Ralph Strangis, whose voice became synonymous with Dallas hockey after the franchise moved to Texas.
Nieuwendyk, the 1999 Conn Smythe Trophy winner and a key figure in the Stars' Stanley Cup triumph, was inducted in the Player category.
Strangis, who spent over two decades calling Stars games and delivered some of the team's most iconic calls, was selected as a Builder.
Now in its fourth year, the Stars Hall of Fame recognizes players and staff whose contributions to the franchise are impossible to overlook.
Past honorees include legendary names like Mike Modano and other figures who helped grow the sport across Texas.
The proceeds from this year's gala will once again benefit the Dallas Stars Foundation, which funds youth hockey and community outreach programs. More about the foundation's initiatives can be found on the official site.
I think honoring both a championship hero and the team's signature voice captures what this Hall of Fame is meant to celebrate.
