The Dallas Stars have re-claimed defenseman Vladislav Kolyachonok off waivers from the Boston Bruins , NHL insider Frank Seravalli reported Wednesday afternoon.
Kolyachonok, 24, has appeared in 13 NHL games this season split between the Stars and Bruins, collecting one goal and three points while averaging 12:32 of ice time. The 6’2″ left-handed defender is under contract through the end of the season at a $775,000 cap hit.

The Stars originally acquired Kolyachonok from the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for fellow defenseman Matt Dumba and a 2028 second-round draft pick. The move cleared Dumba’s $3.75 million cap hit off the Stars’ payroll.
A second-round pick (No. 52 overall) of the Florida Panthers in the 2019 NHL Draft, Kolyachonok spent just two seasons in the Panthers organization before being traded to the Arizona Coyotes in 2021, alongside Anton Stralman and a 2024 second-round pick, in exchange for a 2023 seventh-round pick.
Kolyachonok appeared in parts of three seasons with the Coyotes, and another with the Utah Hockey Club, before being claimed off waivers by the Penguins midway through the 2024-25 campaign. He collected two points in 12 games with the Penguins before being traded to Dallas the following summer.
Through 87 career games over parts of five NHL seasons with Arizona, Utah, Pittsburgh, Dallas, and Boston, Kolyachonok has collected five goals and 17 points while averaging 13:58 of ice time. He has yet to make an appearance in the Stanley Cup Playoffs in his career.
Upon the conclusion of the current season, Wyttenbach will require a qualifying offer from the Stars to remain a restricted free agent.
