Edmonton Oilers' Stuart Skinner spoke to the media and revealed his true wishes for Game 4 vs. the Stars, as he hopes to feel in the zone like he did in Game 3.

Edmonton Oilers goalie Stuart Skinner appears to have put his early playoff struggles behind him.

After a disastrous start to the 2025 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs, the 26-year-old has bounced back with a good performance in Game 3 of the Western Conference Final.

Skinner stopped 33 of 34 shots to lead the Oilers to a 6-1 win over the Dallas Stars at Rogers Place on Sunday night. With the win, he improved his playoff record to 4-4, with a .902 save percentage and 2.66 goals-against average.

Skinner has been lights out in his last five starts, going 4-1 and allowing just six goals on 133 shots. Amazingly, five of those goals were in Edmonton's Game 1 loss to Dallas.

Skinner has three shutouts in his last five starts

That stretch also includes three shutouts, and Skinner said after Game 3 that he's playing his best hockey of the year and revealed his wishes for the next game.

'I wish I felt it all the time,' Skinner said about being in the zone (h/t Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic). 'That's just something that comes with it. For myself, coming out of last game, too, I felt really good. I'm just trying to do my best to keep that going.'

Despite being outshot 34-24 and losing the possession battle, Edmonton won thanks in large part to Skinner's heroics. Dallas also had more total shot attempts (76-53) and high-danger opportunities (14-11), but couldn't solve the Oilers' netminder.

The Oilers will try to put the Stars on the brink of elimination in Game 4 on Tuesday by taking a possible 3-1 series lead.
