Tre Kronor has a solid class of talent heading to Milan.

On Friday, the Swedish Ice Hockey Federation revealed its men’s roster for the 2026 Winter Olympics.

The group of 25 players hopes to make a solid run at a medal this February, with the team holding a great chance to sneak to the top of the podium if they play their cards right.

Sweden is playing in what’s being considered a rather tough Group B, featuring rival Finland and Slovakia, along with host Italy. Sweden is bringing back many of the players who represented the country at the 4 Nations Face-Off last February. There, Sweden finished third, only beating the Finns in the round-robin stage. There’s a strong contingent playing for Tre Kronor next month, with Victor Hedman, William Nylander, Lucas Raymond, Rasmus Dahlin, Gabriel Landeskog and Adrian Kempe being part of the first six players named to the roster back in June.

Landeskog is part of a small group of players who played at the last Olympic tournament where NHLers were allowed to compete in 2014. He, Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Erik Karlsson were on the team that brought home the silver medal from Sochi.

Here’s the full roster of players selected by Sweden general manager Sam Hallam and his staff for February’s event:

Goaltenders: Filip Gustavsson, Jacob Markström, Jesper Wallstedt

Defensemen: Rasmus Andersson, Philip Broberg, Jonas Brodin, Rasmus Dahlin, Oliver Ekman-Larsson, Gustav Forsling, Victor Hedman, Erik Karlsson

Forwards: Jesper Bratt, Leo Carlsson, Joel Eriksson Ek, Filip Forsberg, Pontus Holmberg, Adrian Kempe, Gabriel Landeskog, Elias Lindholm, William Nylander, Elias Pettersson, Rickard Rakell, Lucas Raymond, Alexander Wennberg, Mika Zibanejad

In the “NHL era” of Olympic hockey, Sweden has one gold medal to its name during that time, earned in 2006, the last time the Winter Games were held in Italy. Tre Kronor missed out on the medal table in 1998, 2002 and 2010.

Here’s Sweden’s schedule for its group stage games:

  • Wednesday, Feb. 11: Sweden vs. Italy, 3:10 p.m. ET
  • Friday, Feb. 13: Finland vs. Sweden, 6:10 a.m. ET
  • Saturday, Feb. 14: Sweden vs. Slovakia, 6:10 a.m. ET

The play-off round will take place on Feb. 17, with the quarterfinals taking place the following day. Both semifinal games will occur on Feb. 20. The bronze medal game will be held on Feb. 21, with the tournament culminating on Feb. 22 with the gold medal game.
