The Oilers and Panthers are locked in what has been a fantastic Stanley Cup Finals thus far, and now, Connor McDavid's wife has fired shots at a key Panther.

Through four games, the Stanley Cup Finals in 2025 has been absolute chaos, with the series now shifting back to Edmonton tied up at 2-2 ahead of what may be the most important game of the season in Game 5.

Ahead of that game, Lauren McDavid, the wife of Oilers superstar Connor has taken a shot at key Florida Panthers star Brad Marchand, posting a story on her Instagram with the following caption.

"Alberta Rat Control Program, established in 1950, has been instrumental in keeping the province essentially rat-free."

That's a dig at Marchand, who has affectionately (and not so affectionately by opposing fans) been referred too as a rat throughout his career, and then she followed it up with this.

That would be a photo of the wives of several Edmonton Oilers players with one wearing a shirt with 'Rat Patrol' written on the back of it, something that Lauren also shared to her Instagram story.

It's no surprise that the wife of an Oilers star is supporting her husband and his team throughout the playoffs, but knowing Marchand, this could end up backfiring and simply giving the veteran fuel late in this series.

Knowing the personality of No. 97 on the ice, this certainly isn't trash talk that he's going to replicate, but it's already out there now, and given that it's not offensive, this is the type of thing that adds plenty of spice to a series as the wives and girlfriends of the Oilers look to get in on the fun of the series as they cheer on their partners to a potential Stanley Cup.
