In the Florida Panthers 6-1 rout over the Edmonton Oilers in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final, Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl were both held pointless for the first time in the series. The only Oiler to find the back of the net was veteran Corey Perry, who made the score 2-1 with a power play goal in the second period. But if Perry is going to win his second Stanley Cup – 15 years after his first with the Ducks – Connor McDavid is going to need to start scoring. While he does have five assists, he’s yet to score in the Final as the Oilers find themselves in a 2-1 hole.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Perry is one of just five players at least 40 years old with a goal in the Stanley Cup Finals, and owns one of the 50-goal seasons in the NHL since the 2000-01 season. How many of the players to reach that milestone can you name in six minutes?
Good luck!
