The final Stanley Cup conference finalist will be decided on Monday, with the Montreal Canadiens heading to Buffalo to take on the Sabers in Game 7.
After winning Game 5 6-3 on the road, the Canadians had a 3-2 lead at the first intermission in Game 6. But the Sabers scored six unanswered goals to keep their season alive and give themselves a chance to avenge their most recent performance at the KeyBank Center.
Defender Rasmus Dahlin had playoff-game of his career, scoring a goal and dishing out four assists to account for five points on the Sabers eight goals.
Monday’s winner will take on the exceptionally-well-rested Carolina Hurricanes, who haven’t played since completing their sweep of Philadelphia on May 9.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Dahlin became the first Saber defenseman to post a five-point game in the Stanley Cup Playoffs and the 27th ever to rack up four helpers in a postseason contest. With that being said, how many of the defensemen in Stanley Cup Playoff history to reach that milestone at least once can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
