The ''EA NHL,'' covers since 2000' quiz

When the San Jose Sharks drafted Macklin Celebrini with the first-overall pick in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft, high expectations followed the young forward. 

So far, he’s met the bar. After scoring 25 goals and finishing third in Calder Trophy voting as a rookie, he set a San Jose Sharks record for points in a single season at just 19 years old last season. Now, he’ll grace the cover of EA’s ‘NHL27,’ video game. 

Celebrini’s 46 goals are the second-most in a single campaign by a Shark (11 behind Jonathan Cheechoo’s 2005-06), while the 70 assists are fourth-most in franchise history. 

San Jose missed the playoffs for the seventh-straight season, but thanks in part to Celebrini’s brilliance helped them finish with a winning record for the first time since 2018-19.
