The 'Last 100-point season by NHL team' quiz

The Montreal Canadians mustered just nine shots on the Tampa Bay Lightning net in Game 7 of their First Round Stanley Cup Playoff series. But they managed to put two of those shots past Andrei Vasilevskiy and eliminate Tampa Bay to win their first postseason series since reaching the Stanley Cup Final in 2021.

Captain Nick Suzuki got the scoring started with less than two minutes left in the first period and Alex Newhook recaptured the lead just over halfway through the third. Meanwhile Montreal goaltender Jakub Dobes saved 28-of-29 shots – with the only Lightning goal coming on a second-period Power Play – to secure the Game 7 victory on the road.

Next up for Montreal is a clash with the NHL’s current darling, the Buffalo Sabres, who eliminated the Boston Bruins to get their first Stanley Cup Playoff series victory since 2006-07.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Suzuki finished one goal shy of his third-straight 30-goal season, but he did reach the 100-point milestone for the first time in his career thanks to 72 assists. With that being said, can you name the most recent 100-point scorer for each NHL franchise?

Good luck!
