When Mitch Marner left the Toronto Maple Leafs for the Vegas Golden Knights this past offseason, he brought a reputation of regular-season production but limited success in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
But in his first Stanley Cup Playoffs in Sin City, Marner is balling out.
The 29 year old has six goals and an NHL-best 16 points through 10 games, already setting career-highs in points and assists with at least two games (and as many as 17 if they play the maximum amount of possible games remaining) left in this playoff run. With Vegas and Anaheim knotted at 2-2 in the Western Conference Semifinals ahead of tonight’s clash, Marner still has plenty of work to do if he wants to change his playoff reputation.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Marner is one of 28 active NHL players to rack up at least 100 points in a single season. How many of those players can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
