Happy 29th birthday to seven-time NHL All-Star, three-time Hart Trophy winner for NHL MVP and 2015 first-overall NHL Draft pick, Connor McDavid!

Since being drafted by the Edmonton Oilers, McDavid has lived up to the hype that followed him to the NHL as an individual. Not only is he a three-time MVP, he’s also a five-time Art Ross Trophy winner for the league’s top point scorer and accomplished the rare feat of winning the Conn Smythe Trophy for MVP of the Stanley Cup Playoffs despite being on the losing team.

With 40 games under his belt this season, McDavid leads the NHL in points (78) and assists (48) while trailing Nathan MacKinnon by six goals for the league lead in that category.

Despite his individual accomplishments and reaching back-to-back Stanley Cup Finals in 2024 and 2025, McDavid and the Oilers haven’t been able to deliver Edmonton fans a title in his 11-year career.
