TRADE: Islanders Acquire Tyce Thompson From Devils
Ed Mulholland-USA TODAY Sports

The New York Islanders have acquired forward Tyce Thompson from the New Jersey Devils in exchange for forward Arnaud Durandeau, per a team announcement.

Thompson, 24, has spent this year playing for New Jersey’s AHL club in Utica, where he’s tallied zero goals and five assists in 15 games.

Drafted 96th overall in 2019, Thompson has played in 11 games at the NHL level, most recently back on Jan. 1.

Thompson grew up on Long Island in Oyster Bay. He is the brother of Buffalo Sabres forward Tage Thompson and the son of former Bridgeport Islanders head coach Brent Thompson.
