Dallas Stars center Tyler Seguin will miss the remainder of the 2025-26 season with a knee injury. Seguin tore his ACL back in December.
There is word Dallas filed paperwork declaring Tyler Seguin out for the rest of the regular season & playoffs.
By doing this, Stars get full cap relief heading into trade deadline.
Feel for Seguin, who underwent surgery for a torn ACL. Wanted to return, but couldn’t.

Dallas has filed the paperwork to gain full cap relief for Seguin. However, doing so means there is no possibility of him returning during the 2026 postseason.
This is the second straight season where Seguin has missed a majority of the season due to injury. During the 2024-25 campaign, Seguin was limited to 20 regular-season outings, but played in 18 playoff matches. This season, he will finish with seven goals and 10 assists across 27 appearances.
Seguin’s contract runs through the 2026-27 season, with him most likely staying with the Stars next season.
