Utah Hockey Club reveals franchise's first uniform

Look away Arizona Coyotes fans, your former favorite players are now rocking fresh threads in Salt Lake City.

The Utah Hockey Club officially posted the first photo of its new home uniforms as worn by players on X Wednesday with the simple caption, "Welcome to the Club."

The team's official colors are black and white with light blue. In the photo, the sweaters and pants are all black with white and light blue stripes on the sleeves, socks and along the bottom of the sweater.

Across the body of the sweater is the name "UTAH," at the same descending right to left angle that the New York Rangers utilize on their uniforms.

Fans got a sneak peek at these uniforms when images leaked from the league's rookie showcase in Washington, D.C. earlier Wednesday.

Utah Jazz owner Ryan Smith bought the franchise, then based in Tempe, Arizona, in April for $1.2B.

The Utah Hockey Club will open its inaugural season on Oct. 8 when the Chicago Blackhawks visit Salt Lake City.
