The Utah Mammoth have a brand new identity moving forward and could be making a splash with a big name in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft.

While the Utah Mammoth may not have made the playoffs in their first year playing in Salt Lake City, they've already endeared themselves to the community and already have thousands of fans ready to pack Delta Center every night next season.

They landed the 4th overall pick in the upcoming 2025 NHL Entry Draft, and could use it to take forward James Hagens by several projections.

He played for Boston College this year, scoring 37 points (11G, 25A) in 37 games.

He even said that he models his own game after forward Logan Cooley, who happens to play for Utah.

I grew up watching Patrick Kane, I grew up watching John Tavares. Now, Jack Hughes and Logan Cooley. The way [Cooley] has been able to jump in the league and the things he's done, it's special. He's a special player. He's always been so good in the way he controls the game and the way he thinks it - it's something that separates him.

Not only this, but he also openly said that he'd welcome being taken by Utah to begin his NHL career.

I've watched a ton of the Utah games. I'm a big fan of the new logo as well, the Mammoth. It'd be super cool to be able to be a draft pick for the new logo Mammoth.

Not only does he approve of the new identity of the franchise after being previously known as the Utah Hockey Club, but he could very well be the next young dynamic piece in their lineup.

The 2025 NHL Entry Draft begins June 27.
