
The Utah Mammoth have had a great day today as they acquired Vincent Trocheck from the New York Rangers. Now this evening, they are signing forward Anders Lee to a three-year, $16.2 million deal, which is a $5.4 million AAV. Lee, this past season for the Islanders, played in 82 games, recording 42 points on 19 goals and 23 assists. He was even in plus/minus with five power-play goals and four game-winning goals.

The 35-year-old forward has spent all 14 seasons of his NHL career with the team that drafted him 152nd overall in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. In 14 seasons with the Islanders, he appeared in 923 games, recording 549 points on 308 goals and 241 assists. He was a +21 with 83 power-play goals and 47 game-winning goals. Lee won the King Clancy Memorial Trophy for the player who exemplifies leadership on and off the ice and makes noteworthy humanitarian contributions to their community. He won the award in 2023-24. Lee became the Islanders captain in 2018 after John Tavares signed with the Toronto Maple Leafs. In 46 career playoff games, he recorded 21 points on ten goals and 11 assists. He is a minus-three with four power-play goals.
