The Utah Hockey Club announced Thursday that it has recalled goaltender Connor Ingram from the AHL’s Tucson Roadrunners following the completion of his conditioning stint. In a corresponding roster move, netminder Jaxson Stauber has been assigned to the Roadrunners.
Ingram has been sidelined for the past 22 games as a result of an upper-body injury. In late December, Ingram was assigned to the AHL on a conditioning stint, with his lone appearance coming Wednesday that saw the veteran goaltender turn aside 29 shots en route to a 4-1 victory over the Coachella Valley Firebirds, the minor-league affiliate of the Seattle Kraken.
With Utah this season, Ingram has made 13 appearances in which he has posted a 6-4-3 record alongside an .871 save percentage with a 3.61 goals-against average. Per PuckPedia, the 27-year-old Saskatchewan native is under contract through 2025-26 at a $1.95-million annual average value.
Through 93 career contests with the Nashville Predators, the former Arizona Coyotes, and Utah, Ingram is 36-40-14 with a .902 save percentage and 3.17 goals-against average. Ingram was originally chosen in the third round of the 2016 NHL Draft by the Tampa Bay Lightning.
In Ingram’s absence, Utah turned to 28-year-old Czech-born goaltender Karel Vejmelka who through 25 appearances in 2024-25 owns a 9-11-3 record, while ranking amongst the league leaders with a .915 save percentage and 2.43 goals-against average. Utah also saw impressive performances from Stauber in limited action, who through four showings went 2-1-1 with a .925 save percentage and 2.23 goals-against average.
On the season, Utah stands 17-16-7 and five points back of the Vancouver Canucks for the second wildcard position in the Western Conference. Utah lost its most recent outing, falling 4-1 on Tuesday to the defending Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers but will look to rebound when the squad retakes the ice Friday against the San Jose Sharks.
