The Vegas Golden Knights lost Game 1 to the Edmonton Oilers, and now Head Coach Bruce Cassidy has given two huge updates ahead of a must-win Game 2.

The Vegas Golden Knights blew a lead at home in Game 1 to the Edmonton Oilers, and now, they face a must-win Game 2 if they want to keep their hopes alive before this series shifts to Edmonton for Game's 3 and 4.

Unfortunately, the updates on their injury situation isn't too positive, as Head Coach Bruce Cassidy once again ruled out top goal scorer Pavel Dorofeyev, who missed the first game of this series as well.

In positive news, veteran defenseman Alex Pietrangelo is much closer to a return after missing Game 1, with Cassidy noting that he'll be a game-time decision this evening as Vegas look to even this series at one.

Closer to the game, we will know what the future holds for Pietrangelo, who is likely to play at some point in this series, but with the Golden Knights already down 1-0, the sooner he gets back, the better the chances for this team to come back in the series.

Throughout the regular season, Vegas dealt with plenty of injury issues, but up against a red-hot team that has won five straight playoff games, it's safe to say that these injury issues have put them under pressure as this series rolls on.

Ultimately, this is still a team with plenty of talent led by the likes of Jack Eichel and Mark Stone, and after getting themselves into a winnable position in Game 1, they simply let their foot off the gas and allowed the Oilers back into the game, and with these injuries persisting, this game is a must-win for the Pacific Division's No. 1 seed.
