In what has turned out to be one of the strangest injury situations, the LA Kings will reportedly be without Viktor Arvidsson for Game 4 on Sunday.

Arvidsson left practice halfway through last Saturday. Despite traveling with the team and being a “good chance” to play in Game 1, the Swedish forward has yet to make his playoff debut with the Kings.

It was only until recently we learned that Arvidsson was dealing with a lower-body injury.

The 29-year-old finished with 20 goals and 29 assists for 49 points during the regular season. Arvidsson had a solid second half of the season, with 20 points in 26 games despite dealing with a knee injury sustained on the road in Buffalo.

He’s been sorely missed on the Kings’ power-play, a unit that has combined to go 1-for-12 through the first three games of the series with Edmonton.

The Kings and Oilers get underway on Sunday at 7 pm PT, with the former needing a win to even the series heading back to Canada.
