Washington Capitals Sign Boone Jenner

The Washington Capitals are signing former Columbus Blue Jackets captain Boone Jenner. He has signed a four-year deal with a $5.75 million AAV. In 67 games this season, Jenner has 38 points on 13 goals and 25 assists. He was a plus-three with a power-play goal and three game-winning goals. He was 52.6 % in faceoffs and had 147 total hits. He’s been the Blue Jackets captain since 2021-22.

The Columbus Blue Jackets drafted Jenner 37th overall in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. Before joining the Blue Jackets, he spent three seasons in the OHL with the Oshawa Generals. In 171 games, he had 164 points on 66 goals and 98 assists; he was even in plus/minus.
