Watch: Penguins fans erupt in anti-Steelers OC chant during season-opener

Much like Pittsburgh Steelers fans, followers of the Pittsburgh Penguins are evidently fed up with the football team's offensive coordinator, Matt Canada.

Ari Meirov of the 33rd Team pointed out that the Penguins have three players on their roster from Canada, and their opponents on Tuesday (the Chicago Blackhawks) have 13 Canadians. Make no mistake, though, the raucous crowd was clearly calling for the Black and Gold to let go of their much-maligned coach, not commenting on the neighbors to the north.

This isn't the first time this fall when fans in the Steel City have started a "fire Canada" chant.

During the Steelers' Week 2 win over the Cleveland Browns on "Monday Night Football," fans shouted loudly for the 51-year-old to be canned.

Pittsburgh ranks third-to-last in yards per game (268.2) and rushing yards per contest (80.4), while placing tied for third-to-last in points per game (15.8).

There's no telling if Canada will face more chants calling for his termination at future Steelers or Penguins games this season, but at least he can take solace in knowing that he probably doesn't have to worry about it happening in a baseball stadium this fall. The Pittsburgh Pirates' season has been over for weeks, as they failed to qualify for the playoffs for the eighth consecutive year.
