Which NHL team needs Connor Bedard the most?

With the Connor Bedard sweepstakes inching towards a conclusion, Frank Seravalli and Tyler Yaremchuk took to the #AskDFO inbox to answer Jeremiah Maxwell’s question of “Who does (Frank Seravalli) think needs Bedard the most?”

With a number of bottom-feeder teams in play to fetch the next big NHL superstar, Seravalli weighed in on the topic:

Tyler Yaremchuk: Over on the Daily Faceoff YouTube chat, our pal Jeremiah asked, “#AskDFO, Who does he think needs Bedard the most? I think it would surprise you; I believe it’s Philly” says, Jeremiah. Frank, we have our Connor Bedard watcher up on DailyFaceoff.com, where you can see updated odds and right now, Columbus has the best chance at 25.5 percent. So, what’s your answer to Jeremiah’s question?

Frank Seravalli: Who actually needs him the most? I think it’s the Chicago Blackhawks. I think the teams with the quickest turnarounds are Columbus and maybe Arizona. Arizona is going to be pretty good, especially adding someone like Logan Cooley into the mix. There are a number of different ways to answer this. But, which team has the least and needs the most? Right now, it’s Chicago, and I think Jeremiah’s answer is pretty good too, which is Philly. Outside of Cutter Gauthier, the Flyers don’t really have enough coming in terms of the next generation to get them where they want to get to. Sure, Bedard would go a long way, but the odds are pretty long too.

Tyler Yaremchuk: Yeah, they are. They have a 6.5 percent chance. Right now, I’ll say the team who’s technically in the race but needs them the most; I’ll say it’s probably Vancouver. That fan base needs something like a Bedard lottery win.
