The Wild will indeed be welcoming back a pair of veteran wingers for their game tonight against Tampa Bay.  Per the NHL’s media site, both Marcus Foligno and Nick Foligno have been activated off injured reserve.  To make room on the roster, the team announced (Twitter link) that forward Mason Shaw has been sent back to AHL Iowa.

Marcus has been sidelined for just under a month due to a lower-body injury.  The 35-year-old had gotten off to a quiet start in the early going before the injury, as he was held off the scoresheet in his first four games although he recorded 13 hits.  He is coming off the quietest offensive season of his career, one that saw Foligno notch just eight goals and five assists in 53 games.  Still, he’ll bring plenty of physicality to the lineup, especially needed with Michael McCarron’s availability in question after exiting last night’s game early due to injury.

As for Nick, the older of the two brothers is in his first full year with Minnesota after being acquired at the trade deadline and re-signing this summer.  However, the 39-year-old has missed more than four weeks with an upper-body issue.  Prior to getting sidelined, he had a goal in three games in a little under 10 minutes per night of playing time.  At this stage of his career, Foligno is more of a depth player but he’ll give head coach John Hynes another option to work with on the fourth line.

Shaw, meanwhile, continues his frequent appearances on the NHL-AHL shuffle.  The 28-year-old has been recalled three times in the last two weeks as injury insurance but still hasn’t seen any game action with Minnesota in 2025-26.  He last suited up for them in the 2023-24 campaign.  Shaw has been quite productive with Iowa in the first month of the season, tallying four goals and six assists through 11 appearances.
