Tuesday night's meeting with the Predators was the Wild's sixth straight game at home, and they delivered a 3-2 overtime win to begin their first win streak of the season after Saturday's victory over the Canucks.

Minnesota struck first when Kirill Kaprizov found the back of the net at the 10:44 mark of the first period for his eighth goal of the season, which was assisted by Jared Spurgeon and Vladimir Tarasenko.

Former Minnesota Gophers standout Matthew Wood was the first to get on the board for the Predators, five minutes into the second period. Zeev Buium responded on a power play with his third goal of the season, which was assisted by Brock Faber and Marcus  Johansson. The Wild regained a 2-1 lead before the third period.

It looked like Filip Gustavsson was cruising to his best performance since a shutout in the season opener against St. Louis, but Steven Stamkos scored with 0.3 seconds left to force overtime.

The finish to overtime topped the finish to regulation. Johansson was awared a goal after Nashville goaltender Justus Annunen dislodged the net before the shot was even attempted.

Depite the bizarre finish, Minnesota still get's two points for Tuesday's result. Gustavsson's .941 save percentage was still his third-highest of the season, and the Wild won despite getting outshot 34 to 25.

The Wild are now 5-6-3, and they will be off on Wednesday before traveling to Carolina to face the Hurricanes on Thursday night at 6 p.m. CT.
