The Minnesota Wild have claimed forward Robby Fabbri off waivers from the St. Louis Blues , Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reported Monday afternoon.
Fabbri, 30, recorded one goal and four points in 15 games with the Blues before being waived on Sunday. The 5’11” forward originally signed a one-year, $775,000 contract with the Blues as a free agent on Dec. 10.
The four other players waived by their respective teams on Sunday — Andrew Mangiapane, Alec Regula, Luke Kunin, and Guillaume Brisebois — all went unclaimed, according to Friedman.

Fabbri is now set to join a Wild team that just placed veteran winger Marcus Foligno on the injured reserve list with a lower-body injury. He leaves a Blues team that currently sits near the bottom of the NHL standings to join the Wild in their chase for home-ice advantage in the Central Division.
A first-round pick (No. 21 overall) of the Blues in the 2014 NHL Draft, Fabbri began his NHL career with the Blues in the 2015-16 season and played a key role in the club going on a run to the Western Conference Final. Despite battling severe knee injuries that limited his effectiveness over the following years, Fabbri later appeared in 10 playoff games during the Blues’ successful championship run in 2019; his name is engraved on the Stanley Cup.
The Blues traded Fabbri to the Detroit Red Wings early in the 2019-20 season. The Mississauga product re-established himself as a quality middle-six forward over parts of five seasons with the Red Wings, although he still struggled with injury problems throughout his tenure. The Red Wings traded Fabbri to the Anaheim Ducks after the 2023-24 season.
Through 457 career NHL games over parts of 10 seasons with the Blues, Red Wings, and Ducks, Fabbri has collected 107 goals and 220 points. He’s added five goals and 16 points in 10 career playoff contests.
