Jesper Wallstedt struggled in net as five different skaters scored for the Winnipeg Jets in a 5-0 Wild loss — their fourth straight — Saturday night in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Nikolaj Ehlers started the onslaught for the Jets (24-10-1) with a power-play goal 6 minutes, 51 seconds into the first period. Morgan Barron made it a two-goal Winnipeg advantage with 2 minutes, 6 seconds remaining in the opening period.
Another power-play goal from Neal Pionk 5 minutes, 19 seconds into the second period made it 3-0, and the Jets got another pair of goals in the final period, one from Cole Perfetti 2:07 into the third and another from Vladislav Namestnikov 7:36 in.
Wallstedt made 19 saves on 24 shots for the Wild (20-10-4).
The Wild will look to snap the four-game skid on Monday when they host the Chicago Blackhawks for a 7 p.m. puck drop at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn.
