The Wild outshot the Jets 36-22 at home on Tuesday, but it still wasn't enough in a 4-3 overtime loss that ended in under a minute.

Minnesota looked to snap a three-game losing streak, and it began even one step further in the hole with a 2-0 deficit after the first period.

It took 12:16 for Gabriel Vilardi to put Winnipeg on the board, and then Vladislav Namestnikov made it 2-0 less than 30 seconds later. The Wild came out for the second period with much better energy, and Kapril Kaprizov scored his sixth goal of the season to cut the deficit in half.

Kaprizov's goal gave him 401 points in his Wild career, which moved him to fourth all-time in franchise history, and one spot ahead of Zach Parise. Jared Spurgeon, Marian Gaborik and Mikko Koivu are now the only players with more.

Brock Faber scored his first goal of the season about 10 game minutes later, on assists from Marco Rossi and Vincent Hinostroza. The Wild kept the momentum going in the third period, and Marcus Johansson put them ahead with his fifth goal of the season.

Former Wild winger Nino Niederreiter tied things up later in the period, but neither team was able to find a game-winner. Minnesota went to overtime for the third time this season, and the second straight game.

It took 46 seconds for Kyle Connor to find the back of the net, and Winnipeg handed the Wild their fourth straight loss 4-3.

Filip Gustavsson saved 85.7% of the Jets' shot attempts, and Minnesota is now 3-5-3 on the season. They will look to get back on track on Thursday night when the Pittsburgh Penguins come to town.
