The Winnipeg Jets will be icing a roster next season with a lot of new faces, and many of these players require some new jersey numbers, which were revealed today.

The Winnipeg Jets hope their new, recent acquisitions can compensate for the departure of core players going into the 2025-26 season.

These new additions include forwards Gustav Nyquist and Tanner Pearson, both of whom signed one-year deals earlier in July. Gustav Nyquist, age 35, is a veteran with offensive upside.

He recorded 28 points (11 goals, 17 assists) in 79 games last season with Nashville and Minnesota, and is only two years removed from his career-high 75 points.

Winnipeg intends to utilize him in a top-six capacity, just like the Predators did during his career-high season

Tanner Pearson, age 30, tallied 27 points (12 goals, 15 assists) in 78 games with the Vegas Golden Knights last season.

He's expected to play in the middle six, a position of need, particularly with captain Adam Lowry recovering from hip surgery and likely to be out until at least late October, or possibly even longer.

A total of 11 updated Jersey Numbers Were Revealed by the Jets Today

The Jets today revealed new jersey numbers for several of their players, including Nyquist and Pearson, along with nine others on their roster.

Fans may already be contemplating which jerseys to purchase, and their life was just made a lot easier today after the numbers were revealed.

Having lost Nikolaj Ehlers in free agency to Carolina, with Adam Lowry out to start next season, and with Jonathan Toews, who hasn't played an NHL game in over 800 days and may need time to adapt again, Winnipeg is relying on its new additions to hit the ground running.
