The Winnipeg Jets will be icing a roster next season with a lot of new faces, and many of these players require some new jersey numbers, which were revealed today. The Winnipeg Jets hope their new, recent acquisitions can compensate for the departure of core players going into the 2025-26 season. These new additions include forwards Gustav Nyquist and Tanner Pearson, both of whom signed one-year deals earlier in July. Gustav Nyquist, age 35, is a veteran with offensive upside. He recorded 28 points (11 goals, 17 assists) in 79 games last season with Nashville and Minnesota, and is only two years removed from his career-high 75 points. Winnipeg intends to utilize him in a top-six capacity, just like the Predators did during his career-high season Tanner Pearson, age 30, tallied 27 points (12 goals, 15 assists) in 78 games with the Vegas Golden Knights last season.
