Rachael Gunn, also known as Raygun, who went viral in the 2024 Paris Summer Olympic Games, has received bad news. The B-Girl, who competed for the gold medal as breakdancing made its debut in the Olympics, continues to draw attention around the world.

She turned a lot of heads with her debut routine. Many fans trashed the competitors when they started battling it out in Place de la Concorde. Participants from the United States, Japan, Morocco, the Netherlands, France, South Korea, Ukraine arrived in the European country, but the fans didn’t welcome them with open arms.

Two years later, Raygun made news again, this time for the wrong reasons.

The New York Post reported on Friday that Macquarie University included Raygun’s position in the latest round of redundancies. She worked as a lecturer in the Department of Media, Communications, Creative Arts, Language, and Literature.

A spokesperson refused to discuss the matter due to confidential employment arrangements. Her LinkedIn profile said she worked at the school for more than a decade.

She was considered for a surprise job after her appearance at the Olympics, so maybe that could be the best choice now.
