Dinger Tuesday is back, and we're here for it

Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports

It's Tuesday, and in the summer that can mean only one thing: Dingers. FanDuel offers us a Dinger Tuesday promotion each and every week, where in you bet $25 on a home run prop from each game and receive a $5 bonus bet for every single homer hit in that game, up to $25. Essentially, it offers up an opportunity to receive your bet back in full, and if you win your pick, you still bring home those winnings too. The weather in Colorado suggests a +25% boost to homers tonight, and the Cincinnati forecast is even more favorable at +27% lift to HRs.

For the purposes of this promo, the teams in these spots also open up opportunity for plenty of offense. Los Angeles leads the MLB in homers per game, and San Francisco comes in at seventh.

With our targets established, it's time to find us the players we like best.

J.D. Martinez: +330 FD (LAD-CIN)

J.D. Martinez has been rolling as of late for the Dodgers, knocking a home run in five of his last seven games. We'll gladly follow the hot bat here tonight. Martinez has gone to the plate against the Reds' Luke Weaver twice in his career, and while that isn't much of a sample size, it's worth noting that one of those two at-bats resulted in a HR.

Martinez hits righties far better, and 12 of his 14 long-bombs have come off the hands of a RHP, which Weaver is. That's enough for us to roll with Martinez here.

Blake Sabol: +480 FD (SF-COL)

Blake Sabol has been a solid spark for the Giants lately, hitting two homers in his last six games, compiling seven hits and five RBIs during that stretch.

Sabol and San Francisco will begin tonight against Dinelson Lamet, and it's the first time Sabol will see the righty. All seven of Sabol's homers this season have come off RHP, and every HR that Lamet has allowed has been to a left-handed batter. To us, that seems like a solid intersection and worth a look. Sabol has been the most productive with the long-ball recently for the Giants, so we'll hope he extends that momentum later this evening.

In the news ...

PGA Tour merging with LIV Golf — In a surprise, it's been reported that the PGA Tour and LIV Golf plan to merge, ending all pending litigation between the two. As part of the deal, the PGA Tour and LIV Golf will be combining their commercial businesses and rights into a new, yet-to-be-named company. This news comes shortly after LIV member Brooks Koepka won the US Open, and it appears the year-long battle and separation between LIV Golfers and the PGA Tour is over.

Vegas takes 2-0 lead in Stanley Cup Final — Two straight dominating wins for the Golden Knights has Vegas squarely in the driver's seat to bring home the franchise's first Stanley Cup. Monday night saw Vegas dominate Florida en route to a 7-2 win. The Panthers have been sloppy, and the long layoff between the Eastern Conference Final and Stanley Cup Final seems to have dried up goalie Sergei Bobrovsky's momentum. The Golden Knights are now -500 to win the series and +100 to win Game 3 on Thursday night.

Coco Gauff to meet Iga Swiatek in French Open quarters tomorrow — The top American left, Coco Gauff has advanced to the women's quarterfinals at the French Open, and with it, a date with top-ranked Iga Swiatek, a rematch of last year's final. Swiatek is 6-0 all-time against Gauff, and the 19-year old American is +800 to advance to the semis.

Alcaraz, Djovokic top men left in French Open — The men's quarterfinals got underway this morning, with Novak Djokovic taking on Russian Karen Khachanov. Djovokic is +200 to win the French Open, with top-ranked Carlos Alcaraz of Spain currently +100. Keep an eye on Norway's Casper Ruud, who made the final last year and has dropped just two sets up to this point. Ruud is +1500 to win his first French Open.

Quick Picks

1 Kansas City Royals @ Miami Marlins

We like runs scored in this Royals-Marlins game. Both starters have had their struggles this season, and yesterday's game saw 15 total runs. We're rolling with over 7.5 in this one.
Tuesday, 6:40 PM Eastern SPREAD MONEY LINE OVER / UNDER
Royals
+1.5 (-145) +145 > 7.5 (-105)
Marlins
-1 (-113) -160 < 7.5 (-110)
2 Jesus Luzardo over 6.5 strikeouts

Luzardo has been a steady strikeout presence for the Marlins of late, fanning 7+ batters in four straight starts. His advanced metrics also place him among the league's elite strikeout pitchers, and he should have his chances to keep that rolling today against the Royals. Seven of the past eight starting LHP to see Kansas City have gone over their K prop line. Grab the over here.

Latest Odds:  -170
3 Athletics @ Pittsburgh Pirates

On one end is Oakland's James Kaprielian, a regular here when he gets the starting nod. Kaprielian is 0-6 this season with an 8.12 ERA. On the Pittsburgh side, we have Mitch Keller, 7-1 thus far this year, with 93 Ks in 74.2 IP. Give us Pirates -1.5 at -118 please and thank you.

Athletics
+2 (-121) +230 > 8.5 (-115)
Pirates
-1.5 (-125) -250 < 8.5 (+100)
4 Mitch Keller over 6.5 strikeouts

Mitch Keller has eight or more strikeouts in seven straight games, the type of run we likely need to get behind. It helps that Oakland is striking out at the second-highest rate against RHP this season. Let's join the Keller train today.

Latest Odds:  -130
5 Los Angeles Dodgers @ Cincinnati Reds

We're seeing a significant edge for Tony Gonsolin over Luke Weaver on the mound tonight, and considering the Dodgers as the better team on the offensive end, our choice feels relatively straightforward. Los Angeles has beaten Cincinnati in nine straight games, each by 2+ runs. Take Los Angeles -1.5 at -115.

Dodgers
-1.5 (-115) -175 > 10.5 (-108)
Reds
+2 (-121) +160 < 10.5 (-110)
6 San Francisco Giants @ Colorado Rockies

We're going to need to pick on Dinelson Lamet of Colorado for as long as he toes the rubber tonight. The Rockies pitcher has been quite horrid in the time he's gotten this season. He's thrown just 13.2 innings but sports a shocking 13.17 ERA in that time. He's allowed 11 runs in his last 3.2 innings thrown. Take the Giants to win the first five innings at -145.

Rockies
+1.5 (-125) +122 < 11 (-115)
