Today will be my last Bark Bets newsletter with all of you. I wanted to thank each and every one of you for subscribing and engaging with this content for the past 2.5 years. It has been an honor to deliver you betting news each morning and unearth betting angles for you to choose each night. 

Bark Bets isn't going anywhere, it's just me.

Three years ago I was just a guy who got laid off and had no true direction. I decided to start blogging about sports betting for free, and then Ben Maggin and Yardbarker gave me a chance at the start of 2022, the exact break I needed.

It gave me the opportunity to prove to myself and others in my life that this was a viable path forward. It's always been my passion and will remain so.

Thank you to everyone for making this such a memorable few years! A special shoutout to the man behind the curtain here at BB, Steve Miller, who has given me the runway to test out new content ideas and brainstorm directions we can take together (plus fix my many misspellings of players' last names).

BB will remain in the very capable hands of Jack Dougherty, a writer who I always enjoy reading. Enjoy the rest of your summers everyone, NFL will be here before you know it.

DraftKings has given us the ability to parlay a few long-term NFL futures (yardage/touchdown milestones) and one look in particular has had me day-dreaming about Week One all week.

The play:

• Sam LaPorta 750+ receiving yards
• Dalton Kincaid 750+ receiving yards
• Kyle Pitts 750+ receiving yards
• Trey McBride 750+ receiving yards

The odds: +1000 on DraftKings
 
This tight end special is the exact type of look I love to have in the pocket heading into the season.

LaPorta was a beast last season as a rookie, going for 889 yards, and there's room for even more in Year Two with Detroit all-in on a Super Bowl title.

Kincaid is by far the player I'm most excited to bet on this season. There is so much volume up for grabs in Buffalo, and Kincaid could easily slide in as a big slot and the top pass-catcher for Josh Allen.

Pitts finally has a quality quarterback throwing his way in Kirk Cousins, and he should see plenty of targets with a new coaching staff in place that should better tailor their offense to his unique traits.

Then there's McBride, who exploded once Zach Ertz left the team last season, finishing the year with 825 yards. I'm not concerned about Marvin Harrison Jr. at all, that should only make McBride's life easier over the middle of the field.

Olympics opening ceremonies today — The opening ceremonies from the Paris Olympics are today, with the athletes parading in on nearly 90 boats down the Seine. That is set to be broadcast this afternoon at 1:30 p.m. ET, and then the events begin. Luckily, our pals over at Action Network know their stuff and have taken the time to break down some betting angles for the Olympics you should probably click into. We particularly like the capping around total medals won by each company, with France over 24.5 gold medals really catching the eye. Get into that article and walk away smarter about the upcoming Olympics!

Dylan Cease throws no-hitter — San Diego Padres pitcher Dylan Cease tossed the 324th no-hitter in MLB history on Thursday night, striking out nine Nationals batters. What makes this one unique is that Cease is only the 18th pitcher to throw a no-no with 114+ pitches, and he had to plead with manager Mike Shildt to let him back out after the seventh inning. San Diego is currently sitting in the final wild-card spot in the NL and they are -120 to make the playoffs.

Mariners trade for Randy Arozarena — The MLB trade deadline is early next week, and Seattle got a jump-start on the market, acquiring Tampa Bay's Randy Arozarena for a pair of prospects. The outfielder has struggled a bit this season, but the former ALCS MVP and AL Rookie of the Year brings with him a sturdy reputation that strengthens Seattle's postseason bid. The Mariners are currently 3.5 games back from the final wild-card spot in the AL and are +140 to make the postseason following this move.
