No lyin' — you'll love this +85062 NFL lotto parlay

It's glorious to have the NFL back in our lives. After an eventful Week 1, we're feeling frisky with an intriguing Week 2 slate on deck. Join us in crafting a four-leg lotto ticket to sweat out during Sunday's NFL action. If this one cashes, we'll be partying in the streets on Sunday night.

Week 2 NFL lotto ticket

Leg 1: Malik Nabers 120+ receiving yards

Nabers finished his NFL debut with five catches for 66 yards, but he flashed his incredible athleticism and ball skills while Daniel Jones struggled to get him the ball. That shouldn't be an issue this week against a Washington Commanders secondary that might just be the worst group in the NFL. Baker Mayfield lit up the Commanders for 289 passing yards and four touchdowns in Week 1. This is a perfect matchup for the New York Giants to feed Nabers and see how good the kid can be.

Leg 2: Mike Evans 100+ receiving yards

Speaking of bad secondaries, the Detroit Lions let Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp connect 14 times for 110 yards in Week 1, and that was without Puka Nacua on the field for most of the game. The Lions knew where the ball was going, and they still couldn't stop it. Evans torched this secondary for 147 yards on eight catches in the playoffs last season, and he should be heavily involved in what should be a shootout.

Leg 3: Cooper Kupp 120+ receiving yards

As we just mentioned, Kupp looked like his triple-crown self again against the Lions, and now he gets to run routes against an Arizona Cardinals secondary that might be even worse. The Los Angeles Rams will be missing Nacua for this game, so it wouldn't be surprising to see Stafford target Kupp 15 or more times.

Leg 4: Tank Dell 100+ receiving yards

This will be the toughest leg to cash, but we like Dell's matchup against the Chicago Bears. Star cornerback Jaylon Johnson is going to be switching off between Nico Collins and Stefon Diggs, opening up easier matchups for Dell to exploit down the field. C.J. Stroud just missed Dell on what would've been a deep touchdown against the Indianapolis Colts, so let's hope he hits him this time around.

Put it all together, and you get +85062 odds on DraftKings. A light $10 gives us a potential payout of $8,516.20. Why not us?

In the news ...

Bills silence Dolphins on TNF, Tua Tagovailoa suffers concussion — The Buffalo Bills rolled into South Florida and dominated the Miami Dolphins, 31-10, behind James Cook's 95 total yards and three touchdowns, but that wasn't the biggest story to come out of Thursday Night Football. Tagovailoa suffered a concussion and left the game in the third quarter after fighting for extra yardage on a run, his third official concussion in the last three seasons. The Bills are now +105 to win the AFC East.

Kumar Rocker strikes out seven in impressive MLB debut — Rocker, the former Vanderbilt star and No. 3 overall pick in the 2022 MLB Draft, lived up to the hype in his MLB debut on Thursday night. The Texas Rangers starter struck out seven and gave up only three hits and one earned run in 4.0 innings of work against the Seattle Mariners. He generated an elite 40.5 percent whiff rate and a 45.2 percent chase rate, thanks mostly to his wipeout slider. The Rangers are +20000 to repeat as AL champs.

David Lipsky jumps out to first-round lead at Procore Championship — The PGA Tour is already back after the shortest offseason in sports, and we have an unlikely leader after the first round of the Procore Championship. Lipsky fired a 7-under 65 at Silverado Resort & Spa to take the outright lead by himself. Sahith Theegala, who shot a 3-under 69, is still the betting favorite to win at +1000.

Quick Picks

1 Trea Turner over 1.5 total bases

Turner is a hitter you want to back when he's on a hot streak. The Philadelphia Phillies shortstop is batting .400 and slugging .800 against left-handed pitching over the last three weeks, and he has plenty of experience facing Jose Quintana.

Latest Odds:  +105
2 Zack Littell under 3.5 Ks

Littell is generating just a 22.2 percent whiff rate this season, and he's gone under this line in two of his last three starts. In 43 combined plate appearances against Littell, current Cleveland Guardians hitters have a minuscule 70 percent K rate.

Latest Odds:  +115
3 Athletics @ Chicago White Sox

Why is Garrett Crochet still pitching for the White Sox? The left-hander hasn't thrown more than 57 pitches in four straight starts, and Chicago is 2-12 in his last 14 starts. The White Sox also have the third-lowest OPS and fourth-lowest wRC+ in MLB this month, so we'll take the A's moneyline.
Friday, 7:40 PM Eastern SPREAD MONEY LINE OVER / UNDER
Athletics
-1 (+104) -124 > 7.5 (-105)
White Sox
+1.5 (-145) +114 < 7.5 (-105)
4 Detroit Lions team total over 30.5

You know we can't leave you for the weekend without an NFL play. The Lions looked a bit clunky on offense in Week 1, but they should be able to put up a big number against a Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense with four members of the secondary on the injury report.

Latest Odds:  -102
