Their next challenge to keep pace with the Jaguars is Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers, who are locked in their own tightly-contested division battle with the Denver Broncos. 

Part of the reason for the Texans pulling themselves off the mat from their 0-3 start to the year has been the play of quarterback C.J. Stroud. After missing the first three games of the win streak, Stroud returned from a Week 9 concussion to beat Indianapolis in Week 13. In the four games since his return, Stroud has thrown five touchdowns to just one interception.
