But in the AFC Championship Game and what became horrendous conditions in Denver, it was his legs that made all the difference in the Patriots' 10-7 win. 

The second-year QB scored the Pats' only touchdown of the day with a six-yard rush in the second quarter, and in the fourth quarter, he iced the game by beating Jonah Elliss to the first-down marker and allowing New England to kneel out the final two minutes between it and Super Bowl LX. Despite going just 10-of-21 with 86 yards through the air, Maye finished with 65 rushing yards on 10 carries to go with his crucial touchdown.
