The Toronto Sceptres are getting a boost to their lineup ahead of Tuesday night’s PWHL game against the Seattle Torrent at Climate Pledge Arena, activating defender Allie Munroe from long-term injured reserve and making her eligible for the team’s first visit to the West Coast since expansion.
In a corresponding move, Sceptres general manager Gina Kingsbury has shifted rookie blueliner Hanna Baskin to the team’s reserve player list, where she began the season.
Munro has not played since Dec. 23, 2025, when she suffered a lower-body injury on home ice against the Ottawa Charge, playing just 4:10 of ice time before her team eventually fell 4-3 to the visitors.
This season, a 28-year-old from Yarmouth, NS has yet to find the back of the net, but has two assists in seven games, while averaging 16:40 of ice time. Through three PWHL seasons, the 2023 ninth-round pick has two goals and eight assists for 10 points across 60 regular-season games.
In her place, Baskin, a sixth-round pick in the 2025 PWHL Draft, skated in six games, but did not put up a goal contribution and cracked the 10-minute mark of ice time just once.
Tuesday’s game marks the second time Toronto has played on the West Coast. Previously, Sceptres played in the Vancouver Takeover Tour game against the Montréal Victoire on Jan. 8, 2025. The road trip to Seattle, followed by Thursday’s trip to face the Vancouver Goldeneyes, marks their first visit to the markets since the league expanded this season.
Sitting fifth in the PWHL standings with 17 points after 13 games, Toronto will hope to carry momentum from a 2–1 overtime win over the Goldeneyes in the Battle on Bay Street into their matchup against Seattle and the two games after against Vancouver and Montréal, before the league halts for the Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympics.
