San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings continues to grow his reputation among fellow players, and it's not a good one. On Sunday, the 49ers beat the Cleveland Browns, 26-8, for their ninth win of the season, but Jennings wasn't getting much respect from his opponents.
"He's a h--, and I want that known," Browns defensive tackle Shelby Harris said of Jennings in a post-game press conference. "I see why he got punched in the nuts, because he says some things that you should not say to another man, ever. But I don't respect it because you say that and then run behind your O-line, and that's some real soft s---."
The incident Harris was referring to occurred during the Week 12 "Monday Night Football" game, when Jennings confronted Carolina Panthers safety Tre'Von Moehrig. The two fought because Moehrig hit Jennings below the belt earlier in the game. Jennings didn't react in the game to avoid a penalty, but was willing to risk a fine after time expired, and the 49ers won, 20-9.
Jennings avoided a suspension but was fined $12,172 by the league for the altercation. Moehrig was suspended for Week 13, but the Panthers still pulled off the upset against the Los Angeles Rams without him. On Sunday, Jennings made six receptions for 39 yards and caught one touchdown pass.

Harris wasn't the only Browns player unsettled by Jennings' comments on the field. After the game, All-Pro defensive end Myles Garrett discussed another incident with Jennings after Browns defensive tackle Maliek Collins went down with an injury.
"He had a lot to say that was demeaning and disparaging toward some of our players, and I was just trying to separate everybody, and I tried to go up and ask what the problem was, and he started coming at me," Garrett explained. "Some guys roll like that, I don't feel like that belongs in the game. But hey, if that works for him and them, then more power to 'em. I'm just trying to keep my guys focused on the game...he was just yapping."

49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan defended his wideout last week, pointing out that Moehrig threw the first blow. He was also impressed by Jennings keeping his cool during the game. This Sunday, though, Harris was less than impressed with Jennings' character.
News 5 Cleveland reporter Camyrn Justice asked Harris what the San Francisco receiver was saying to him. Harris replied that Jennings was allegedly talking about the Browns' wives and children. Jennings didn't comment after the game.
"I want that known, and I see exactly why they punched [Jennings] in the nuts," Shelby concluded. "And I'm surprised nobody punched him in the jaw yet."
