The 'NBA No. 1 draft pick and Rookie of the Year' quiz

While the Dallas Mavericks prepared to celebrate using the first overall pick of the 2025 draft on Duke star Cooper Flagg, they were also working on retaining the services of a former No. 1-overall pick out of Duke: Kyrie Irving. Irving and the Mavs have reportedly agreed on a three-year, $119 million contract despite the veteran point guard tearing his ACL in March. Before his injury Irving was playing well, averaging 24.7 points, 4.6 assists and 1.3 steals-per-game in 50 contests.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Irving is one of 22 players in NBA history to win Rookie of the Year after being taken with the first-overall pick in the NBA draft. How many of those players can you name in five minutes?
