As Dez Bryant attempts to make his NFL comeback, he's made no secret about his interest in heading to Baltimore to team up with reigning MVP Lamar Jackson. And the Ravens' quarterback addressed Bryant's comeback, saying that he's been impressed with what he's seen from the receiver on social media.
"We've got a lot of great receivers on the team right now," Jackson said, via the Ravens website. "It's up to the front office. I've been seeing Dez Bryant on Instagram and stuff like that, running his routes, competing against cornerbacks. He's looking pretty good on social media. If the front office likes him, we'll have to see when he gets here."
This is not the first time this offseason that Jackson has spoken about the Ravens adding a receiver, as he was also open about his desire for the team to add Antonio Brown, which coach John Harbaugh did not seem opposed to.
Baltimore could certainly use some help at receiver, as they have almost no depth beyond Marquise Brown and Miles Boykin. Having a reliable veteran like Bryant could be useful for Jackson's development, as he is entering only his third season in the NFL.
Bryant is attempting to end his extended absence from the NFL, as he has not played in the league since the end of the 2017 season. At age 31, some teams may be concerned that Bryant is already exiting his prime but it sounds like Jackson is open to giving him a shot.
