Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald remains silent on NFL future

Larry Fitzgerald's future in the NFL is highly uncertain. By this time last year, the Arizona Cardinals wide receiver had already announced he was returning for a 17th season with the franchise.

Before a charity golf event on Saturday, the 37-year-old, who will turn 38 in August, was asked if he has decided whether he will play in 2021. His response?

"I know I'm about to play some golf."

Fitzgerald played the 2020 season on a one-year, $11.5 million deal. It's unclear what kind of deal he'll receive if he returns for his 18th season.

The 11-time Pro Bowler reeled in 54 catches for 409 yards and one touchdown last season. He was a reliable option behind DeAndre Hopkins and Christian Kirk.

In 263 career regular-season games, Fitzgerald has 1,432 catches for 17,492 yards and 121 touchdowns. He is the oldest wide receiver in the league.
