49ers stars Nick Bosa, Fred Warner in danger of missing Packers game

The San Francisco 49ers extended their postseason with Sunday's crazy win over the Dallas Cowboys, but they also sustained some injuries to their defensive front in the process. They now may head into next weekend's divisional matchup against the Green Bay Packers without stars Nick Bosa and Fred Warner.

Bosa did not return to the field for the second half of Sunday's game after entering concussion protocol, while Warner reaggravated an ankle injury in the fourth quarter and needed help leaving the field.

With the game against the Packers slated for Saturday instead of Sunday, both players have one fewer day to recover from their respective ailments, NFL Network's Ian Rapaport said on Monday.

San Francisco defeated Dallas in wild fashion on Sunday, with the Cowboys' final drive of the game ending in part due to a technicality. Quarterback Dak Prescott did not allow a ref to touch the ball before setting up for the next play.

"I've never seen that come down the way it came down, as far as the collision between the umpire and the quarterback," Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy said after the game.

As for the Niners, they now are ready to face off against another storied rival in the Packers. San Francisco and Green Bay have four wins each against each other in the playoffs over the history of the league. The Niners most recently defeated the Packers in playoff play in January 2020 with a 37-20 victory that helped catapult them to a Super Bowl berth.
