Watch: Oregon LB D.J. Johnson punches Oregon State fan after loss

Following No. 9 ranked Oregon's upset loss to No. 21 Oregon State in Saturday's "Civil War" game, Ducks' edge rusher D.J. Johnson was captured on the field sucker punching a fan in the back of the head.

After the Beavers' 38-34 victory, fans stormed the field, and through the sea of people, Johnson and the fan crossed paths. The Oregon State fan appeared to gesture toward Johnson, and whatever it was, or whatever was said, set the lineman off.

Johnson was way out of line here, and his actions are doubly worse since they were caught on video for all to see. Oregon has yet to release a comment on the situation. Though, considering the circumstances, Johnson likely has a hefty punishment coming his way.

Even if Oregon somehow lucks into the Pac-12 title game, it's possible Johnson, a senior, has played his final collegiate game.

After seeing most of his playing time at tight end the last two seasons, Johnson made the full-time switch to the defensive end of the ball this year with good results.

Johnson's six sacks are fifth in the Pac-12, and his nine tackles for loss rank tenth. He leads the Ducks in sacks and is eighth in tackles with 36.
