Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo played for only 20 seconds in the 2023 NBA All-Star Game.
He had suffered a wrist injury in Milwaukee's last game before the All-Star break and though he was the team captain and drafted a slew of superstars for his all-star team, the draft plus the two points he scored were his only contributions to All-Star weekend.
Now it's being reported that Antetokounmpo's wrist injury is bad enough that he'll have to miss time while he rehabs it.
Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo suffered a sprained ligament in his right wrist and will undergo treatment with the expectation that he'll be able to return to the lineup once the pain subsides, sources tell ESPN. He was examined in New York today.

The good news is no surgery is needed and the injury apparently even isn't bad enough to receive an official return date.
The bad news?
Any amount of time without the two-time MVP is bad for a team currently a half game behind the Boston Celtics for the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference. The Bucks also have to hold off the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Central Division. At the time of this writing, Cleveland is 4.5 games back of first and the Cavs have won eight out of their last ten.
For Milwaukee's sake, hopefully, Giannis recovers quickly and this doesn't get worse.
